Boat Sentry was designed by a cruising boater who wanted more options and visuals than was available from the multi-function display screen, the most expensive electronics or the hard to use and limited in scope mobile apps currently available.

Boat Sentry will give you complete control over how you anchor in any situation with any number of anchors. The controls are extremely simple and assistive to give you the most peace of mind while anchoring in and around reefs, shallows, other boats and obstacles.

The Boat Sentry development team wants your feedback to help improve the features that enhance your peace of mind and security while anchoring. So, we have a feedback form that goes directly to the developers included in the Boat Sentry App.

Configurable Safe Zone Alarms, including Background alert notifications

Schedule your location updates to save battery. Pick the interval that you want to enable the GPS to monitor the Boat

Built-in proprietary "False Positive" logic to ensure that bad GPS fixes do not cause false alarms

Add Infinite Safe Zones!

Save and Load your Safe Zones for persistent usage (When on a mooring ball or at a dock)!

Dynamically adjust any Safe Zone's Radius/Width/Height to the distance from the Boat by a simple checkbox

Back Down the Anchor!

Watch the distances between the Boat and the Anchor(s) to ensure that your Anchor is not dragging while you are backing down

Project the Anchor!

You don't have to use Boat Sentry while anchoring, instead, you can project your anchor in the direction/distance of the actual anchor at any point

Safe Zone Types:

Arc: Setup your Forward, Aft, Port and Starboard Drift parameters as well as radius

Pie: Setup your Aft, Port and Starboard Drift parameters as well as radius

Circle: Setup your Aft Drift parameter as well as radius

Ellipse: Setup your Aft Drift parameter as well as width and height

Box: Setup your Aft Drift parameter as well as width and height

Safe Zone Location Types:

Custom Location: Tap any GPS location

Boat Set Location: Drop a Safe Zone with the Boat's Anchor Set Location as the GPS position

Anchor X Location: Drop a Safe Zone on top of any anchor

Anchor Midpoint Location: Drop a Safe Zone on top of the midpoint between any two anchors

Notice: As Boat Sentry uses your GPS to monitor your location, which can drastically decrease battery life, it is suggested to always be connected to an external source so the battery does not die when you need it most!

Please be aware that it is never suggested to use Boat Sentry as your sole source for anchoring alerts!
